About Us
Our Story
The Romalite family. Arizona. Real life.
We didn’t plan to start a brand.
We’re The Cast Family, parents to Eri — our 21-year-old daughter who happens to have Down syndrome. We live in Arizona, we love our family, and we’ve spent the last two decades figuring out what it means to raise a child with a disability in a world that still doesn’t fully know how to see her.
Romalite started because we kept looking for content that felt like us — a real family, doing real things, not sanitized for the comfort of people who’d rather look away. We never found it. So we made it.
Mr. Cast
Mr. Cast is the builder, the fixer, the one who installed the Tesla mods and figured out how to mount the TV without finding a stud. He’s hands-on, practical, and the kind of dad who shows up — every single day, no announcement needed. When he has an opinion about something, it’s usually right.
Mrs. Cast
Mrs. Cast runs the brand and keeps everything moving. She’s the researcher, the planner, the one who built the systems that make this whole operation work. She’s also the one who decided our family had a story worth telling — and that telling it honestly was more important than telling it perfectly.
Eri
Eri is 21, an artist, an adventurer, and the whole point of everything we do. She has Down syndrome. She also has opinions about art supplies, strong feelings about her outfits, and a laugh that takes over whatever room she walks into. She is not a diagnosis. She is a person — and one of the most interesting ones we know.
