We’re The Cast Family — and we’ve been doing this together for over two decades. Romalite is how we decided to stop keeping it to ourselves.

Mr. Cast

He’s the one who makes things work. Installed the Tesla accessories, figured out the TV mount, keeps everything running without making a production of it. He’s been Eri’s dad for 21 years and he does it without needing credit for any of it. He shows up. Every time.

Mrs. Cast

She’s the one who sees the story worth telling and decides to tell it. The researcher, the planner, the one who built Romalite because she believed that honest is more interesting than polished. She’s been navigating this life for 21 years and she still thinks there’s more to figure out — which is why she’s documenting it.

Eri

She is 21. She has Down syndrome. She is an artist, an adventurer, and the most socially confident person in any room she walks into. She has opinions about her outfits — strong ones. She loves bright colors, anything that sparkles, and places that reward you for paying attention.

She remembers everything. She makes friends everywhere she goes. She knows exactly what she wants and she will find a way to tell you if you miss it.

She is the whole point of this. She has always been.

What We’re Doing Here

We post on TikTok and Instagram. We write here. We share the trips we’ve taken, the things we love, what it looks like to navigate adulthood with Down syndrome in real time — without a script and without pretending we have it figured out.
